Philippine history books records the death of Andres Bonifacio on May 10, 1897 but early records shows that he actually died on April 26, 1897. If this is true, Bonifacio's trial on April 29 and his supposed "execution" at Mount Tala on May 10, 1897 where he allegedly went down on his knees and begged Gen. Lazaro Makapagal's forgiveness [saying "Kapatid, patawarin mo ako!"] did not happen.
According to Gen. Artemio Ricarte during Andres Bonifacio's arrest, Agapito Bonson "fired his revolver at Bonifacio, wounding him in the left arm". Jose Ignacio Paua "with an unsheathed dagger in his hand, also sprang at him [Andres Bonifacio], striking him in the left side of the neck." Captain Mariano Salvador narrated that Bonifacio was shot on the arm and stomach and then stabbed on the neck "na dahilan upang bumulagta ito."
Is it possible that a Bonifacio who have been mortally stabbed on the neck and with untreated multiple gun shot wounds could remain alive and last from April 29 [date of the Trial] up to May 10 [date of execution]?
